Part 1. Humans....an annoying race, worthy of study.

Modern archeology has produced some really interesting facts about humanity and especially the race of humans called homo-sapiens.  We now know that the first simple "ape men" climbed out of the trees and started working together about 25 million years ago.  Of course it took until almost 2 million years ago to produce the first complex humanoid on earth worthy of the prefix, homo.  The Australopithecus was a nomadic, tool making, and group orientated humanoid.  However about 1 million years ago, another complex humanoid emerged and was given the name of cro-magnon, and basically shared every possible trait with their predecessors. Another 900,000 years later, the Neandrathal man showed up and wiped cro-magnon out rather quickly because of a slightly higher intellect and a fierce violent nature.  Despite the almost 2 million years between Australopithecus and Neandrathal man, the tools barely grew in complexity or helpfulness.  They basically were sharpened stones and big flat ones.  Then....a mere 30,000 years ago...a blink of an eye in regards to the evolutionary scale, the Homo-Sapien stormed onto the scene and literally drove Neandrathal to extinction without so much as a hint of sweat on their brow.  These first humans were extremely intelligent, and created very complex tools, clothes, weapons, and even houses.  They ended the nomadic culture of all their predecessors.  Almost 2 million years go by and there is no change at all!!  Then in a mere 70,000 years, there evolved a race of humans that were almost the same as those who roam the earth 1000 years ago???  Of course that's not the most interesting part...  These new beings quickly created civilizations which out of every civilization we have ever recorded, have to be grouped seperate from them because of the records showing their unusual beginnings, all the way to the fall.  These guys were extremely advanced...  Much more than we could have ever guessed.  Thanks to modern techniques in archeology, we have information explaining theses great civilizations in great detail.  Unlike most societies, these started off at the top of the top!  The most advanced they could be...I'm talking; complex agriculture, roadways, infrastructure comparable to modernity, irrigation and sewer systems, writing, mathematics, and complex governments all from the start.  Then gradually as time went on, the advanced systems started degrading and the societal norms were obviously not maintained but almost allowed to suffer and fall apart.  Normally societies start off basic and grow more complex with time until they reach a height or plateau.  Then inevitably something occurs that plummets them down and a new society begins out of the ashes of the old.  This is the "human way".  However, Sumerian and Akkadian culture was simply not of this mind set. Every ante-Diluvian civilization was of this "counter clockwise" culture that seemed to spring up over night and rule the earth for thousands of years until their gradual degradation led to them beginning anew.  It really is some kind of mystery, to which I know exactly what happened.  I can not say how I know, who told me, and where to find the proof...  However I will be posting soon a "part 2" to this little lecture, which hopefully will give some insight to the genesis of modern man.  Humans are such a petty, small, and vapid race of beings..  It was no small effort to get acclimated to them, and to this very strange world you live in.  I will say that after many years here, sharing this existence has been a wonderful era of my life.
